⇒hearの過去形は不規則で、heardになります。メルマガは、an e-mail magazineのほうがbetterです。

 


 The book I needed for work contained an invitation letter for this event.

⇒誤りではないですが、本のチラシなので、an invitation letter⇒a leafletのほうが良いかもしれません。

　invitation letterですと、パーティー等への招待状のイメージがあります。

　また、朝からずっとビールを飲み続けている（のを朝からずっと私は見続けている）のであれば現在完了形でよいのですが、

　このシーンでは、朝なのにビール飲んでる！いいなー！と今この瞬間に気づいた感じがあるので、

　That old man is drinking beer in the morning!のほうが適切です。

⇒neighborは近くに住んでいる人の意が強いので、席が隣の人ではthe person next to meとしましょう。

今日のセミナーにはたくさんの人が集まっているなぁ。彼らはどこで働いているんだろうか。

今日のセミナーはテストがあるのかなぁ。彼は必死にメモを取っているなぁ。

彼らは私と同じ年のように見える。

ここにいる人はエリートのように見える。彼は若い経営者なのかなぁ。

それに比べて、私は安月給のサラリーマンにすぎない。

私は起業して社長になろうかなぁ。

でも、今朝のニュースで起業にはリスクがあり、コストがかかるから難しいと報じてたなぁ。

そんな難しいことは考えないでおこう。今夜はどんな料理を食べようかな。
